Ingredients:

• 2 chicken breasts

• 1 cup breadcrumbs

• 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

• 1/4 cup flour

• 2 eggs, beaten

• 1 cup marinara sauce

• 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

• Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.

  • Place the flour in a shallow dish and season with salt and pepper. Place the eggs in a separate shallow dish. In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.

  • Coat each chicken breast in the flour, then dip it in the eggs, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to help it adhere.

  • Place the breaded chicken breasts on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through.

  • While the chicken is baking, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.

  • Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the oven and top each breast with a spoonful of marinara sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.

  • Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Serve the chicken parmesan hot, with additional marinara sauce on the side if desired. Enjoy!
